Net EtiquetteWhen in chat rooms, instant messengers such as ICQ or MSN or when emailing somebody, don't use capital letters for sentences. Most people on the internet see this as "shouting" and get quite offended. Only use capital letters if you feel you need to emphasize a certain word. Learn all the little abbreviations
that are used such as "LOL" and "ROFL".
If you flame somebody in a chat room or by email, remember that you are liable to prosecution just as much as you are in the real world. You are not an anomynous entity and your identity can be traced. Treat people on the net as you would in everyday life and your internet experience will be a very enjoyable one.
