Change Size of Mouse Pointer to Larger Size

Some people find it hard to find the default Windows mouse pointer on the desktop. This may be the result of poor eyesight or other physical problems but can be overcome quite easily.

Windows XP gives you a choice to make the pointer larger so it can be seen more easily. You can even change the pointer color to black so that the pointer stands out on white backgrounds. Here's how to change the size of pointer.

Change mouse pointers

Open the Control Panel by clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel.
Click the "Mouse Icon."
In the Mouse Properties window that appears, click the Pointers tab.
In the area under where it says "Scheme," click to activate the drop down and choose Windows Standard "large or extra large" from the drop-down list.
The display area (top right of window) will show what the pointer size will be.
Click Apply if this is suitable
Click OK to make the change effective
